The trademarked slogan for dating website ChristianMingle.com is “Find God’s Match For You.”
But Spark Networks, the company that created and now manages ChristianMingle.com, also owns and operates the site JDate.com, a dating website for Jewish singles that lists locations of synagogues and the meaning of various Jewish holidays.
So which God does Spark Networks really represent? The neo-Christian God, which takes the form of a polytheistic trinity that’s inspired more from Greek philosophy than from what the Christian Bible writers expressed? Or the Judaic God, a monotheistic deity who requires exclusive devotion from worshipers?
Arielle Schechtman, a media representative for Spark Networks, did not immediately respond to questioning.
I thought you were going to include the incredible irony (if not the ethics) of ChristianMingle.com being founded and owned by a Jew.
